Infant Mental Health Awareness Week

This year’s Infant Mental Health Awareness Week (8–14 June 2026) focuses on the theme of ‘attunement’ – the ability to tune in and connect emotionally with others. Practitioners play an important role in supporting parents to notice their infant or toddler’s mental health and cues for connection. But not all practitioners feel comfortable doing this work.

Keeping the infant and toddler in mind is a free online course created by Emerging Minds to support practitioners working with families who have young children. It introduces a relationship-based framework that promotes the mental health of children from birth to age five, with a focus on the parent–child relationship. Check out this self-paced course today to increase your confidence in supporting parents to notice their child’s cues and nurture positive mental health.
